Privacy Policy

Nerava (“we”, “us”) provides software that connects verified EV charging sessions to the programs of charging networks, merchants, properties and loyalty partners. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and who we share it with. It covers this website, the Nerava API, apps built on Nerava, Nerava.ai, EV Guest Receipt and the Partner Portal.

Many people reach Nerava through a partner's app or program. In that case the partner's own privacy policy also applies to the information they collect.

Information we collect

Account information

Your name, email address and phone number when you sign in, including sign-in with Google or Apple and one-time codes sent by text message.

Vehicle and charging information

When you connect a vehicle through Tesla or Smartcar, we receive the information you authorize, such as vehicle identifiers, charging state, energy added, battery level and the location of a charging session. We use it to verify charging sessions.

Device location

If you allow it in an app built on Nerava, we use your device's location to recognize nearby chargers and businesses. You can turn location access off in your device settings.

Program activity

Offers you claim or redeem, rewards you receive, consent choices you make, and support messages you send.

Hosts and guests

If you use EV Guest Receipt, we collect host account details, property information and the receipts you create, and a guest's confirmation if the guest confirms a receipt.

This website

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and website analytics is currently off. If we turn on optional analytics, it runs only after you accept it, keeps an identifier in your browser's local storage, and can be turned off from Privacy preferences in the footer. Our hosting providers record standard request logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and reliability.

How we use information

• To provide our products and the partner programs you join
• To verify charging sessions, check them against a program's rules and record the results
• To deliver rewards and benefits that programs offer
• To secure our services and prevent fraud and abuse
• To respond to support requests and improve our products

How we share information

• Program partners. When you join a partner's program, we share with that partner the information needed to run it, such as your account identifier with that partner and the charging sessions that qualify. Partner Portal workspaces show each partner only its own programs and results. Some sharing can be managed in the app's data-sharing settings.
• Aggregated reports. Reports for businesses about groups of drivers are aggregated and apply a minimum group size before results are shown.
• Service providers who run our services for us, including cloud hosting, text-message and email delivery, vehicle-connection providers (Tesla and Smartcar), payment processing and error monitoring. They may use the information only to provide those services.
• Legal reasons. When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and others.

Your choices

• Disconnect a vehicle at any time from the app you connected it through.
• Manage the data-sharing choices offered in the app's consent settings.
• Turn off location access in your device settings.
• Request access to, correction of or deletion of your information by emailing privacy@nerava.network.

Retention

We keep information while your account is active or as needed to provide our services. When you delete your account, we remove your contact details, sign-in tokens, saved favorites and in-app consent settings, and unlink some offer and points records from you. Other records, including charging-session history (which can include location and vehicle details), program rewards and the history of partner data-sharing choices, may be kept for program and accounting purposes. To ask us to delete those as well, email privacy@nerava.network; we'll tell you what we're required to keep.

Changes

We'll update the date at the top of this page when we change this policy, and tell you directly about material changes where we can.
